LOCATION

Warri is a town of some 600,000 people located on the southern tip of Delta State . It is about 400 km from Lagos . Situated on the south-western edge of the Niger Delta, Warri actually extends into the swamp! It is known as a thriving oil town and port because of the very prominent existence of SPDC and the NNPC (Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation) Oil Refinery. There are several other petroleum industry companies in the town.

There are two Shell camps in Warri, namely Edjeba and Ogunu. Each camp is located about 10 minutes drive from the Main Office, but in opposite directions.

Ogunu contains 150 houses, is a mixed camp housing Nigerians, all Expatriates and the Shell Primary School. Edjeba is a wholly Nigerian residential camp, and also contains some office buildings and a Nigerian primary school. Streets are named after local rivers and cities and even oil fields. Both residential camps offer a safe and thriving environment for children. In addition to Company accommodation, many Nigerian staff live in private housing in Warri town.

Office and Worksites

The Main Office Area (MOA) in Warri is approximately ten minutes drive from Ogunu camp. Some staff work in Edjeba, and the drive from Ogunu to Edjeba takes some fifteen minutes (depending on traffic). There are also some offices located on the Ogunu Camp in the Industrial Area (IA). Also located in Ogunu is the Shell Hospital.
