The Shell Primary School located on Ogunu camp provides education for the children of Shell expatriate employees.
OGUNU SCHOOL , WARRI
The Ogunu School , situated in the residential area, caters for primary school children between the ages of 4 – 12 years. The school occupies a spacious site with a large lawn playing area and a and a hard surface play area (open air school hall). The school building comprise nine classrooms, one smaller teaching room, a library, a computer/music/video room, staff room, an open sided school hall, offices, storerooms and toilets. All rooms are air-conditioned. The school makes use of the Ogunu swimming pool (which is a two minute walk from the school) for swimming lessons.
A varied programme of extra curricular activities is organised by teachers and parents providing opportunities for sports, art, craft and musical activities. A parent-teacher association meets several times a year.
When packing for an assignment in Nigeria the essentials for children include a bicycle, light-weight rain clothing, sports equipment and clothing for PE and swimming, a school bag which can be carried on the back while cycling, a food box for snacks and an unbreakable drinks flask. A pair of wellington boots is also useful.

Ogunu kindergarten
A small mixed nationality kindergarten operates on camp, in a room beside the Ogunu School buiding. A committee of volunteers and mothers of the kindergarten children see to the management of the kindergarten. A group of volunteers also run a toddlers group.
